Statement of warranty


Product Description: The warranty applies to defective products manufactured and sold by SURETOUCH, a division of Oldcastle Building Products Canada, Inc., or its authorized distributor.

Warranty Definition: SURETOUCH  hereby guarantees that, on the date of delivery, its products are free from manufacturing defects. In addition, all SURETOUCH products comply with or exceed all applicable standards set by the BNQ (Bureau de Normalisation du Québec), CSA (Canadian Standards Association) and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials).

On the express condition that the conditions set forth below are met, SURETOUCH guarantees the structural integrity of its products for a period of twenty-five (25) years from the date of purchase of the product.

The warranty covers the replacement of defective products manufactured and sold by SURETOUCH or its authorized distributor. It applies to normal, non-abusive use of the work.

Warranty Exclusion: The warranty does not apply to spalling or other breakage that might result from impacts, abrasions or excessive loads. The warranty does not apply if deterioration is the result of design or installation that fails to comply with the applicable codes and standards or good work practices.

This warranty does not apply to any damage resulting from poor handling, installation that does not follow the recommendations of the SURETOUCH installation guide, poor building maintenance including damage caused by structural movement, construction deficiencies, improper usage or an act of God, other damage that may result from a deliberate act or negligence on the part of the Customer, the owner of the building, the installer or any other third party, or any other damage beyond the control of SURETOUCH.

Warranty Execution: To obtain a warranty certificate, the Customer must contact the representative and duly complete the form provided.

In the event of a claim, the Customer must present the warranty certificate issued by SURETOUCH, together with a valid proof of purchase, being either the invoice, delivery slip(s) or SURETOUCH product identification sticker from the pallets. If need be, SURETOUCH will supply a new product free of charge in replacement of the defective one following inspection of the product by SURETOUCH or one of its representatives or agents. Installation expenses remain the responsibility of the Customer.

Transferability:
The warranty is transferable to the subsequent owner of the building or work, provided that it is accompanied by a valid proof of purchase and the warranty certificate issued by SURETOUCH.

SURETOUCH does not authorize any agent, distributor or representative to make changes to this warranty.
